Happiness comes easy. It’s the choice to be happy that’s hard. I choose to be happy. And I believe these things will help:
1. Waking up an hour before I’m supposed to leave home - this way I don’t have to rush. This way, I can eat breakfast. This way, I can greet the sun as brightly as it greets me each morning.
2. Avoiding people who suck my energy and disrupt my vibe. It’s hard when you love these people. But it should be easy because you love yourself more. Or at least you should.
3. Reading a book - a few pages of a book. A physical copy, not an e-book. Touch matters.
4. Scribbling down my thoughts in a journal as and when they hit me, cut me, heal me, blind me.
5. Dressing in a way I am comfortable and in a way that will make me want to look in the mirror and smile and take selfies.
